This morning (29th of July 2020) Hoppers Crossing Fire Brigade was called to turn out the Mount Cottrell FOV (Forward Operations Vehicle) to provide support to Werribee Fire Brigade – CFA‘s Fire Call at the Werribee Municipal Tip.
The FOV is fitted out with radios and other equipment which turns it into a mobile command centre to support the Incident Controller.
A total of 22 CFA & FRV appliances were used to support including crews from Fire Rescue Victoria, Caroline Springs Fire Brigade (CFA), Eltham CFA, Lara CFA, Melton Fire Brigade – CFA, Mernda CFA, Point Cook Fire Brigade (CFA), Truganina Fire Brigade, and Wyndham Vale Fire Brigade. Thank you also to Ambulance Victoria and Wyndham City Living for their assistance in supporting the crews.
